"All we can do is pray at this moment.  We believe that God is in control and if Jesus wants this child to be in our family He'll provide us with help, finances, and resources. Thanks a lot and God bless you!" Alex and Yuliya Zadorozhny

Alex and Yuliya were born and raised in Khabarovsk, Russia. Alex is a US citizen and Yuliya is in the process of gaining U.S. citizenship. Yuliya has been a Christian since 1998, when her husband led her to Jesus. Alex was led to the Lord by his mother, who immigrated from the former Soviet Union in 1988, as a religious refugee who had suffered persecution by the former communist government there.

Yuliya's good friend of 18 years unexpectedly drowned this past June, in a river in Khabarovsk, Russia, leaving behind a five year old son. This happened right before his fifth birthday. Because of difficulties experienced by his extended family, this little boy is now being processed for admission to an orphanage there. Alex and Yuliya heard about this and after prayer and  much thought, decided they could not allow this precious child to be raised in an orphanage when they have a loving home for him here.

Since this was such a sudden tragedy, this family has no funds saved for a Russian adoption, which can be one of the most costly in the world. They have started the process, in faith, trusting God to bring in all the funds they need, as they need them.

They will then need the fees and expenses for the other agency they are using, Alaska International. In addition, they will have to travel to Russia. Russia requires parents to make two trips to adopt a child, and the airfare for this is quite an expense! Can you help with any of these costs? God will bless you for anything you can do for this family and this little boy, who now has no one.

They expect to travel for their first trip in July, 2005. They will be making two trips, as required by the Russian government.

Can you help them to adopt this precious little boy and give him a future and a hope? Prayerfully ask the Lord what you can give and how you can help.
